I can't seem to access our google page, so I'm going to post our proposed ideas for user generated content here (for now).

(1) A moderated message board - for clarifications, reader reactions, queries and reader interactions.

(2) Spiffy content submission device - A simple and prominent graphic on the front page for readers to submit video, photo and audio

(3) Twitter - for breaking news, recent figures and content solicitation

(4) Coveritlive - because its great

(5) Facebook App - readers could add our facebook app, which would maybe look something like an embedded headline ticker with active links?

(6) RSS feeds

(7) Using local bloggers as stringers?

(8) Blog Aggregator

(9) Interactive maps - www.ushahidi.com/about

(10) A Resources thread in our discussion board - Important phone numbers, adresses, contacts,etc.
